Life on the inside is carefully scheduled
With people and potions to see to your thorns
For those who pass by us remember that you, too
Might climb the fence with us your sanity torn

The keep us so carefully nipped in the bud
Passion red roses from hospital mud
Lined up in a way, just like these passing days
Waiting for winter in hot summer's haze

Climbing the border of what's nuts and what's not
Beauty and danger grow strong side by side
Some have been hurt by society's backfire
Some just can't grow on the outside

When they drop the big one and we become no one
What kind of behavior is right for that part?
Which side of the big fence are those that are insane?
A rose is a rose if you're crazy or not
